Golf at Leopard Creek
Situated in the heart of the bushveld on the southern border of the Kruger National Park, this golf course provides a magnificent backdrop for golfing. Enjoy a day’s golfing at Leopard Creek – the quintessential African golf experience. The layout of the course meanders alongside the Crocodile River, culminating in the incredible 13th green that overlooks the river offering magnificent views into the Kruger National Park.
Innovative architectural and landscaping techniques ensure that the Leopard Creek golf course and living areas are naturally protected from animals, while lakes and small streams have been diverted through the development to create scenic vistas and interesting golf strategies.
Golfing hazards take on a new dimension at Leopard Creek, for much of the water is home to the magnificent creatures for which the river is named, crocodiles. Extensive use has been made of water features and sightings of crocodile, hippo, antelope, buffalo and elephant are commonplace, on the course or in the Kruger Park bordering the course.
The 505 meter par-five 13th is one of Leopard Creek’s most memorable holes. Here the green is right on the edge of the Crocodile river but 32 meters above the level of the water, offering magnificent views up the river and into the Kruger Park. Gary Player is especially proud of the par-five 18th with its island green and the par-four 9th with its peninsula green jutting out of the same body of water.[/quote]Transfer to Sun City

You will spend the next 3 nights here.
Golfing addicts will be in their element at Sun City with a choice of two exceptional, yet very different golfing experiences at the Gary Player Golf Course and the Lost City Golf Course.Gary Player Golf Course
Enjoy golfing at this historic and memorable golf course, designed by none other than the legendary Gary Player. It remains a wonderful test of golf and is another powerful advertisement of all that makes African golf such an unforgettable experience. Built in an extinct volcanic crater, the fairways of the Gary Player Golf Course stretch over 7000 metres. This 72-par, 18-hole walking only championship course it is definitely one of the world’s longest golf courses and it is regularly ranked as the leading golf course in South Africa.
Home to the Nedbank Golf Challenge, these fairways have been walked by the best in the game, from Jack Nicklaus and Ernie Els to the fierce Tiger Woods.
The par-five ninth hole is one of the most scenic with its island green, while the stroke one eighth hole is a tough test for even the professionals. The Lost City Golf Course
In the elegant shadow of the Palace of the Lost City lies this interestingly mixed-terrain golf course where you can spend the day golfing. The popularity of the Gary Player Golf Course required a second course to be built at Sun City, so once again Gary Player was brought on board to design the 72-par, 18-hole Lost City Golf Course, which offers a completely different experience to the Gary Player Golf Course.
Golf carts are a necessity for this course and are included in the green fees, owing to the many changes in elevation. One of the highlights of the Lost City Golf Course is the 13th hole, a par-3 with an African continent-shaped green, bordered by a pond hosting several large Nile crocodiles.
This course, like the Gary Player Golf Course, offers championship tees, standard markers and the forward tees for novices. Many golfing critics and legends maintain that a great course layout should require every one of the 14 clubs in a golfer’s bag, and the Lost City Golf Course certainly does this.
The Crocodile Lounge is a lovely light lunches and snack bar – open to everyone, not only for players – that offers remarkable views of this striking course and a halfway house included in the green fees. There is also a driving range and a putting green available for keen golfers to practice their shots.Travel to Cape Town

Play Golf at Pearl Valley Golf Course
Enjoy a round of golf at the Pearl Valley Golf Course in the heart of the Cape Winelands framed by majestic views of Simonsberg Mountains. This masterpiece was shaped by the vision of golf legend Jack Nicklaus and his unique touch is evident throughout the course. Officially opened in November 2003 by Nicklaus and South African great, Gary Player, Pearl Valley Golf Estates was named ‘best new golf course of the year’ by Golf Digest magazine in 2005, ranked as the best conditioned golf course in the Western Cape by Golf Digest for 2010/2011/2012/2013/2014 and awarded the Compleat Golfer’s Five Star Experience Award for six consecutive years.
The home of the SA Open for three consecutive years in 2007, 2008 and 2009 provides you with a stern yet enjoyable golfing test. During the 2008 South African Open, 2007 US Masters Champion Trevor Immelman was full of praise saying, “the course is in incredible condition, it really is. That’s the way I expected the course to be, to a high standard, and they have always turned out a fantastic course, for the members day-in day-out. I really feel like these fairways; they are some of the best, if not the best, that I’ve ever played on.”
Pearl Valley has two signature holes, 4th and 13th, both offering majestic views of the surrounding mountains and lakes. The 4th hole is as challenging, with limited margin for error as you need to cross the creek three times en route to a tricky green. This par 5 is regularly listed as one of the best par 5’s in South Africa, epitomising the ideals of ‘risk and reward’. The 13th hole is a daunting par 3. As the water cuts from the right and a greenside bunker waits, one is mesmerised by the cautious tee shot. This hole tests both your ball striking and your nerve.
