    Le-BernardinLe Bernardin is a french seafood restaurant located in Midtown Manhattan. It was started in 1972 in Paris by Gilbert and Maguy le Coze and moved to New York in 1986. Head chef, Erik Ripert's signature dishes include kindai maguro (sustainably raised Japanese Bluefin Tuna, Kobe beef and Escolar.

    Chef's Table at Brooklyn Fare

     

    Chefs-table-at-Brooklyn-Fare-1024x682The Chef's Table at Brooklyn Fare is located in Downtown Brooklyn. It was the first restaurant in Brooklyn to receive three Michelin stars. César Ramírez opened the restaurant, which seats 18 guests around a counter, in 2009.

    The food is inspired by Japanese dishes which is "all about the ingredients, the freshness and is always very simple". They serve a pre-fix dinner consisting of over 20 small plate courses which include canapes, cheeses, soups and desserts. The restaurant uses around 900 serving pieces each night. Ramírez introduces each course by listing the ingredients.

    It is very hard to get reservations at the restaurant and the waiting time can be up to 6 weeks. Reservations can only be made for parties of 2 or 4.

    Dinner is served Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:00 and 7:45 pm, & Thursday-Saturday at 6:00, 6:45, 9:30 and 9:55 pm.

    Dresscode:

    Formal Business Attire, jacket required for men. Jeans, sneakers, flip-flops, shorts or short sleeve shirts are not permitted in the dining room.

    Eleven Madison Park is a Contemporary American restaurant located in Manhattan's Flatiron District. It is located in a landmark art deco building, known as the Metropolitan Life North Building, with soaring 35-foot ceilings and a view of Madison Square Park.

    Per Se is a New American and French restaurant located on the fourth floor of the Time Warner Center. The restaurant is owned by chef Thomas Keller and has been called the best restaurant in New York City by the New York Times. The head chef is Eli Kaimeh.

    The menu cosists of a choice between a nine-course vegetable tasting menu or a nine-course chef's tasting menu. Their philosophy is "for you experience the sense of surprise when you taste something so new, so exciting, so comforting, so delicious, you think - Wow - and the its gone".

    Jean Georges located on the lobby level of the Trump International Hotel and Tower has been named after its owner Jean-Georges Vongerichten. The current executive chef is Mark LaPico.

    The restaurant presents exquisitely crafted dishes blending French, American, and Asian influences. The local farmer’s market is the driving force behind the seasonal, ever-changing menu. Chef Jean-Georges is a master at maintaining the essence of ingredients while using them inventively to produce the best flavor. Jean-Georges’ chic and intimate dining room was redesigned by Thomas Juul-Hansen, with striking lighting by L’Observatoire. Impeccable service, tableside preparations, and floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of Central Park and Columbus Circle all contribute to an unforgettable dining experience.

    Jean-Georges offers a three-course prix-fixe menu and two six-course tasting menus: a traditional tasting of the chef’s signature dishes, and a seasonal tasting featuring fresh market ingredients. The prix-fixe and tasting menus are available Monday through Sunday for dinner. The restaurant also offers a two-course lunch menu.

    Masa is a Japanese and Sushi restaurant located on the fourth floor of the Time Warner Center. The restaurant was opened by Chef Masa Takayama in 2004 and is considered one of the most expensive restaurants in the world, as well as the most expensive restaurant in New York City.

    The restaurant's sushi bar is a $60,000 piece of rare hinoki wood from Japan. Reservations for the 26 available seats are taken three weeks in advance. Chef Masa takes the guests on a tour with a multi-course prix fixe menu according to seasonal availability. Diners enjoy five carefully composed appetizers, followed by a sushi entree featuring fifteen to twenty types of exotic seafood directly flown in from Japan, and a dessert course to complete the meal.
