Welcome to The Jefferson, Washington DC’s second most prestigious address. With an established reputation as Washington, DC’s most discerning hotel, just blocks from the White House and historic DC landmarks, The Jefferson is a 95-room luxury boutique hotel that exemplifies all that its namesake held dear including an intricately thought-out design, twenty three elegantly appointed suites, the most modern amenities including a petite spa, experiential dining in the award winning Plume and Quill, and, of course, exceptional personalized service.

The elegant ambiance of The Jefferson Washington, DC’s guest rooms and suites evokes the hotel namesake’s cherished years in Paris as well as his time at Monticello. Extraordinary attention to detail conveys the sense of staying in a private residence. Here, you might find a book on Monticello on your side table, or perhaps a vintage copy of Goode’s Best Addresses. Our hotel rooms feature one of three elegant color schemes, select rooms and suites feature windows that open to the outside, and deep soaking tubs made of hand-cut Italian and Spanish stone and marble. The Jefferson hotel’s top floor accommodations feature two expansive specialty hotel suites: The Thomas Jefferson and Martha Jefferson Suites. Both are exquisitely furnished, with soaring nine-foot ceilings and French doors that allow daylight to stream in and open to exceptional views of Washington, DC. Eighteen additional sumptuously appointed hotel suites provide a serene escape from the energy of the city.
